Glovertown: Walk for Water update

Update from Gerard and Yuvadee Feltham (Members of the Glovertown HAVE Branch Committee)

Due to COVID-19’s persistence, the Glovertown’s 23rd Walk for Water is again, being done individually (not in the group form).

The current amount in the Glovertown HAVE Branch Account is $12,329. We know that at least 10 persons in Glovertown and area who have individually walked the 23rd Walk for Water. (Also, Yuvadee’s annual flower-sale went appreciably well.) As a result, in total, substantial funds have been raised this year, enabling HAVE Canada to provide a number of new bore-wells in India, where numerous villages are in urgent need of safe drinking water. (Fairly soon, we expect to prepare and share a more complete report of the Glovertown Committee’s overall fundraising in 2021.)

Between now and Dec. 31, there is still an opportunity for even more individual walkers who, in turn, can aim to double the current amount raised; and thus achieve this year’s Glovertown HAVE Branch Committee’s original goal of 10 village wells.
