Wednesday, June 12 – Walk for Water in Minden. Join your neighbours and friends on a walk around Minden raising money for HAVE projects. The walk starts at 7 p.m. behind the Minden library branch and will proceed down the boardwalk to Riverwalk. Contact Debbie Wales for sponsor sheets. Can’t make it? Saturday, June 15 – Food and Beverage Showcase. Enjoy local culinary delights during the annual food festival at Wintergreen Pancake Barn in Gelert from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take in live music, bid in the silent auction and sample delicious local food and beverages including coffee, craft beer, hot food, pastries and more. Entry is $50 for families, $20 for individuals. The event is a fundraiser for HAVE as well as Plaid for Dad, a campaign to end prostate cancer.
Wednesday, June 19 – Archie Stouffer Elementary School will Walk for Water. Students will be walking around Minden’s Riverwalk to raise money. Come out and cheer them on or give a donation.
