Glovertown announcement re: Walk for Water

In June, the Help A Village Effort (H.A.V.E. Canada’s Glovertown Branch) will have its 26th Walk for Water. As there will not be a designated walk day this year, you are invited to walk, run, dance, etc., anytime and any place during the month of June. Our Walk’s goal is to assist H.A.V.E. Canada in providing very needy villages, particularly in India, with safe drinking water. Walk registration and sponsorship forms will be available at all the local churches, Glovertown Pharmacy, and the town hall. For more information, please contact Gerard and Yuvadee Feltham at 709-533-9177 or Christine Pike at artistic12cp@gmail.com. We invite… [ read more ]

Glovertown: Walk for Water update

Due to COVID-19’s persistence, the Glovertown’s 23rd Walk for Water is again, being done individually (not in the group form).

Participation high at Glovertown Walk for Water

The June 8 Glovertown H.A.V.E. Branch’s 21st Walk for Water was a huge success. The weather was perfect; the spirit of the Walk was high, with 37 participants present; and the goal of providing 10 new bore wells looks rather encouraging, currently close to $14,000 (including another substantial contribution from a dedicated H.A.V.E. supporter) was raised.

West Vancouver Walk brings community together

May 25th this year marked the first time the Walk for Water was located at the Gleneagles Community Centre instead of St Monica Church which had been used for the past 10 years. The Community Centre was a great host and we were able to keep dry on that damp day by setting up the registration and “dining” tables out front under the extensive roof overhang.
